Hello, I'm Lisa Allen, your superintendent of Sacramento City Unified School District. Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am thrilled to see students' smiling faces being greeted by our wonderful, dedicated staff for what is sure to be a year of learning and inspiration.
Over the summer, projects were completed, including new blacktops, heating and cooling systems, security improvements, flooring replacements, new furniture, accessibility upgrades, and more. We want all our classrooms to be safe, inclusive places so our students can learn, succeed, and thrive.
I would like to thank all of our amazing staff who ensure that students have the classroom support, transportation, nutrition, mental health support, and resources they need to reach their full potential. We ask our families to help us by encouraging good study habits at home and making sure our students are ready to attend school and learn every day.

The Board of Education is comprised of seven members who determine policy for public schools, from kindergarten through twelfth grade in the Sacramento City Unified School District.
